Craftsmanship in the making

About Me

Neil Alexander Taylor was born in 1971 in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset. After an Art Foundation course (1987-89) he took a degree in Ceramics at West Surrey college of Art & Design. In 1995 he completed an eight-month Greenwood working apprenticeship at Clissett Wood near Ledbury, Herefordshire. This was followed by helping to work on the Balusters at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London.

Neil’s career went on to become one of intuitive learning and exploration. He has used two workshops within the beautiful settings of Herefordshire and the Border counties, and has gained much local recognition. Having established his business in 1998, he now has a workshop at his home in Cradley near the Malvern Hills.

He attends Country shows and Woodfairs throughout the year where you can see him demonstrating using the tools of his trade and examples of his furniture can be purchased and commissions taken.
